JREC Training Board: $875.00 per month

JREC training board includes daily care, plus 4 to 5 days of professional schooling per week.  Horses on training board will have their manes maintained along with basic grooming and trimming.  JREC requests that all training board horses be started under saddle before entering our program.   We are happy to accept horses that are very green and specialize in bringing along young hunter prospects.  Sarah Ranson, JREC’s riding school manager is responsible for the training and riding of all training board horses.

Sarah is a professional rider who has ridden in the Richmond area most of her life.  As a junior, Sarah rode with Jan Simpson at Hampden Row and showed at both the CHSA and rated show level.  She has trained with Clem Clement (Professional rider from Goochland) on and off for many years. In her work with Clem, Sarah gained a great deal of experience showing and riding young hunter prospects.   Sarah was also a member of the riding team at Hollins University in Roanoke, VA where she received much training and show experience both in the hunter and equitation ring.  Since graduating from Hollins, Sarah has worked at several different barns riding professionally and specializes in bringing along green horses.  Sarah also specializes in schooling and tuning the more experienced horses if necessary.
